Shard led the way in to the meadow. This was the best place for most of her herbs. Except for catmint, but for right now she was looking for cobwebs and other leafy herbs. She looked back at Scarnose and gave her a silent signal to be quiet. Usually the meadow was quite peaceful, but occasionally there is some twoleg wandering around. She prayed that all was peaceful so they wouldn't have to be quiet and sneak around twolegs. Signaling with her tail for Scarnose to stay, she sneaked a little father in to see if there were any twolegs or other animals. Finding nothing, Shard walked calmly back to Scarnose. "There is nothing here but fresh herbs and cobwebs. Please could you find some cobwebs and wrap them around your paw. I'm all out of them." She asked Scarnose.

Scarnose nods, still not talking. No one's heard her voice since the time she got into Bloodclan. Maybe with the clan leader one or twice, but no one else.
She walks into the field and starts looking around, picking up only the finest looking cobwebs- not that it really mattered, she just wanted to make them look nice. She went sniffing around the field, her scar not visible as she moves grBrass and leaves over to get to the cobwebs.
"It's very peaceful out here." she finally talks breaking the silence, sitting down and eyeing at the cobwebs, inspecting the ones she already gathered. Her voice was relatively low, and it was powerful, a sign of leadership. But she wasn't around too often to show it.

Shard looked at Scarnose. "You talk?" She asked, then realizing it sounded a little insulting,"I-i mean i just never heard you talk before." She quickly added. Looking around she spotted some daisy leaves. She quickly ran through the list of what herbs did what and remembered that daisy leaves eases pain in aching joints. This could be useful one day. She thought to herself. Picking about 6 leaves she put them in a pile in the middle of the meadow.

"Not many cats did. I don't blame you, I guess you could say I'm not the most social cat around here. I could if I wanted to, but I just feel like an outcast, so I stay in the shadows." she shrugs, bringing the cobwebs over to the pile and sitting down again. "I would like to talk more though, back in the alley. I do get kind of lonely..." she mutters, pawing at a leaf that fluttered down, almost out of nowhere.

Shard looked back at Scarnose, "You don't have to feel like an outcast, or be lonely." She told the lonely cat. "I know who would be your friend, I mean, other than me." She knew for a fact Leopard would gladly be friends with Scarnose. She probably already considers herself friends with Scarnose. she thought to herself. Finding some dock leaves she walked over to them to pick some up. These could be useful.

Scarnose shrugs again, looking over at Shard. "The last time I made friends with someone they gave me a scar on my nose and left me to die in the forest... Or they got killed. I guess it's a mutual fear that is I have a friend something will happen. And my theory's been working so far. I guess life's mad at me for something. Or I'm just hated by luck or karma even though I never killed a cat before..." she paws at a flower, closing her eyes and breathing in the nice scent.

"Well, I know for a fact that Leopard would be your friend." Shard said in between picking the dock leaves. Picking them up she walked toward the cobwebs and daisy leaves. "She probably already considers you as her friend." She mumbled around the dock leaves. She put them gently down in their own pile and carefully folded the cobwebs in their own pile. |

"I never met her though. Or at least I never talked to her, obviously." Scarnose stands up and stretches, letting out a big yawn. "I think I'm going to go to the abandoned two-leg nest tonight. Care to come with?" she asks, looking around.

"Trust me, a lot of cats don't talk to Leopard, doesn't matter to her." Shard told her. "Hmm. I think I'll go after i drop off my supplies." Wrapping the cobweb gently around the daisy and dock leaves, Shard carefully picked up the herbs and started to walk to the way they came in. "You want to go hunting, or would you like to help me put these in the stores?" She mumbled around the herbs. |

"I guess I'll help out. I've left a hefty pile of kill for the clan so the alley should survive without hunting for a day or so, even though I won't be gone that long." she catches up to Shard and starts trotting next to her, taking the last scents of the field in before exiting.

"Okay then," Shard started walking back to her little place. Considering that she was barely able to get so many herbs, Shard thought they did good this time. She reminded herself to introduce Scarnose and Leopard to each other. I doubt Scarnose wants to be a medicine cat. Shard thought to herself. Not all cats wanted to be a medicine cat, and Scarnose didn't seem like she wanted to. |

"Well, everyone was wrong there. I mean, Tigerstar didn't need to offer us something he never was going to give to us, and he shouldn't have used us to force the other cats to listen to him. But, Scourge should have never said he wanted their land because those other cats lived there first. I don't think those cats will bother us anymore. Actually, I heard some cat saying that they couldn't find the forest anymore, like it disappeared." Shard mumbled around the herbs.

"How can a whole forest disappear? I'm sure they're still there, I know it. One of these days I will find a Riverclan cat..." she murmurs, looking down past the meadow. "Some days I want to talk and be happy, while some days I want to be alone and hunt... It's hard to explain what exactly I feel, but... I guess we all do sometimes."

"Well, we know well enough what twolegs do. Maybe the twolegs made the forest disappear." Shard replied in a matter-of-fact tone. She kept walking, whether Scarnose was following or not. "Don't bother, you wont find anything." Shard told her, hoping it was true. If Scarnose went to kill a Riverclan cat she would fail, the clan cats never leave one another alone.
