1. Never kill one inside the Clan. Killing is not for sport. If you kill a cat, you must live with the burden for the rest of your life. Penalties for murder inside the Clan or without your leaders' say-so may result in exile.
2. A warrior is not to have a romantic relationship with a cat from outside our Clan. Loyalty is our top priority here. We do not need our warriors getting distracted.
3. Do not defy your leader's word. Though she will listen to what you have to say, Nightr rules with claws of iron. If, however, she listens, she will either change her mind or hang on to her beliefs.
4. Kill prey only to give to the elders and kit-mothers of our Clan. Fresh-kill is scarce in our city, and if you come upon a rat or mouse, kill it respectfully and give it to those who need it. If you live in an area where prey is plentiful, use it for your own family or your Clanmates around you before yourself.
5. If you come upon a forest cat, either kill it or ignore it. The cats of the forest have broken up BloodClan before. We must teach them that they can never do so again.
6. Listen to our ancestors in the Afterlife. Many great warriors, including Scourge, are here; good or bad, our ancestors wield wisdom beyond that of any cat. Listen to them.
7. Medicine cats are NOT to have a romantic relationship of any kind. They have the greatest duty out of the whole Clan, greater than the leader herself: Healing. They must have no distractions in their life.
8. Always, always kill what little prey we find with respect. Prey is meant to be eaten, not killed for sport. Bury the bones after you eat and send thanks to the Afterlife. You may kill rats for sport, but make sure you eat it later.
9. Obey this code. For breaking the rules of our ancestors, one can be punished severely.
10. Put the Clan before your own needs. Your Clan must be your top priority. If you had a life-or-death situation between your leader and your Clan, choose your Clan.
11. The leader's second-in-command (otherwise known as the "deputy") will rule the Clan when the leader dies or retires. The deputy also holds a high duty in the Clan, and is specially selected by the leader his/herself. If something should happen to the leader, the deputy will take over, having learned much from the previous leader.
12. Learn from your teacher. When a kit is old enough to train, they are taken in by a teacher and taught how to fight properly. Learn from your teacher.
13. Do not converse with cats in exile. They were banished for a reason; let them alone if you see them. If they are on the territory, chase them off or kill them.
