Silver sat beside the road, feeling the rumbling of the on coming monster. His neck fur bristled as eh thought about ending his life. "No cat can be trusted, and the cats who could have been are dead!" he snarled. He kneaded the ground slightly with his paws, and when the stench of the monster grew strong and the monster itself came into sight, he leaped into the road. "TAKE ME!" he yowled to the shiny-pelted monster.

Shadow's ears pricked as she heard a yowl not far off. She had been creeping in the shadows of an alley, silver eyes gleaming as she searched for prey. Her head swiveled towards the road, where she found a cat flinging itself onto the busy intersection. Her eyes flew open, and she dashed after the cat, praying to her ancestors that she wouldn't die.

Not scenting Shadow due to how strong the monster's stench was, Silver continued to stand there, waiting and preparing for his time to come. He sheathed and unsheathed his claws, impatiently waiting, feeling the trembling of the monster so close to him.

Shadow's feet pounded hard against the ground, and the incoming monster's light shined on the duo brightly. She let out a little growl, her eyes narrowed in slight anger. "Are you stupid," she muttered under her breath. The jet black she-cat reached out, claws sheathed, and flung herself at thte tom, hopefully moving him out of the way of the monster.

Silver landed on the opposite side of the road, in the grBrass, with a thud. He snarled at the other cat, wriggling in its grasp. "Traitor! Traitor! I have you now! You will pay for all the damage you have done to the Clan!" he snarled, thrashing at the cat with his claws unsheathed.

One of the cat's claws scratched Shadow's chest, drawing a line acros her skin, and she hissed, trying to forcibly hold down the cat with her unsheathed, reinforced claw, silver collar glinting and chrom eyes filled with rage. "Shut it, you daft Twitter.com! I was trying to save you from that monster! I'm no traitor, I'm a loyal deputy!" She hissed by his ear, one claw gripping into the ground. Her whiskers twitched ferociously, and her lips were pulled back into a dominant snarl.

"Yes! And anyone of you could be the traitor!" he hissed, continuing to claw at the deputy. "Some loyalty you showed when you killed my foster mother and done harm to me! What now? Are you planning on over throwing Night? Traitor!" He kicked Shadow off of him with his hind legs and quickly got to his paws, lips drawn back in a snarl. "You should be exiled! No, even better, to be sure your rotten face isn't shown here again, killed!" growled Silver.

"Obey your superiors and back down," she hissed wildly. "I never killed any of your family, but if i did, you certainly wouldn't have remembered it, for you'd be gone with them!" her fangs snapped at the cat, claws splayed across the ground. "I'd never be that sloppy! Don't even talk to me about exile, either. You'd be exiled for trying to take me down before Night even thought about getting rid of me. I'd never do that. I respect her too much to throw the trust she has in me away," Shadow snarled ferociously, slashing her claws at the cat. Her chest was slowly stopping up, the blood flow sluggish and almost clotted.

Shadow's claws raked against Silver's muzzle, and he began to taste blood. "Foolish! How can I know you're telling the truth? Anyone can say that, traitor! So stop lying!" he hissed, slashing her back with claws fully unsheathed. "There are traitors in the Clan! Traitors! You hear? I'm determined to find the one who did damage to my Clan, and rip them apart! I'll be happy to rip you apart if you are that traitor, in which you are!" He leaped to the side and swiped at Shadow's hind legs.

Shadow realized that her efforts were futile, so she sheathed her claws, knowing full and well that she could be killed, She dodged the blow to her hind legs by a hair, and lept a good few fox-tails away. "Fine, I give up," she meowed softly, attitute changed. Her eyes were innocent and sincere, completely open as she stared at the tom. "Just remember that i'm in your clan, remember that i have a soul, as well. Go ahead and kill me if you believe it so," she meowed softly. Her eyes hardened for a second. "Just know that you'd killed an innocent being of your clan, of the family that you have left." She let a slight grin sprawl across her face. "C'mon then. Do it. Kill me. I'm a liar," she spoke that last part with satire, eyes sorrowful. "Just like you said," she whispered, closing her slightly.

"With pleasure!" Silver snarled, then dashed at Shadow, knocking her down, and stood on top of her, paw raised, claws unsheathed. His one good eye scanned over her, determined at first, but soon his determination turned into hesitation. His claws lingered in the air, unsure if he could do this. Shadow could very well be the traitor, but yet she could very well be an innocent cat. All traces of wanting to murder Shadow left his eyes, as he pulled his ears back and bounced off of the she-cat. He walked a few paw steps away, tail dragging on the ground. He then paused, "I can't bring myself to kill you,"

Shadow laid still, frozen in her position as Silver backed off of her. She looked at him, eyes wide as she sat up, tail locked into place across her paws. To be honest, she was terrified for a moment, thinking that he would actually go through with it. Then again, she'd probably deserve it, with how many cats she'd taken the life from... Her eyes lowered to their natural position, but her pupils remained huge. Her head tilted to the side in question, and she let out an inquiring little, "Wha.."

Silver snarled, jerking back around, his tail becoming bushy, but in his eyes the look of sadness and sorrow, and guilt still loomed. "You heard me!" he snapped. He quickly turned his head to the side, so that his blind side made it so he couldn't see the deputy. "Why are you so shocked?"

"Beacuse, every cat i'd met fully had the intention of killing me, harming me, or at least remind me that i'm a killer. I honestly would have deserved it if you killed me," she replied softly back, licking a paw and running it down her muzzle. She watched the tom, noting his gloomy exterior, and her tail flickered. Her nose twitched, and she moved her gaze to her paws, eyes narrowing to watch the ground.

He looked back at her harshly, "Don't we all deserve to die in the end?" he growled. He then looked to the road, "But then again, traitors deserve to die first." Silver's claws itches to be sunken into the she-cat's flesh, but decided against it. He couldn't kill her, no matter how much he wanted to or tried. He then decided to walk past the she-cat, and back towards the road, where he'll give another attempt. "Fare well, Shadow, for I shall not be seeing you or even Night soon." he mewed, touching his tail on her shoulder.
