Shadow's eyes widened as she noted what he was going to do, and then narrowed suddenly, anger flaring at how she got into this situation. "Silver. Don't. Put. One. Paw. On. That. Road." she meowed calmly. Her eyes were mere shards of ice as she stood, although they held slight worry in them as well. "I'm not having you die. There's no need for that," she spoke softly, eyes softening like her voice.

Silver paused, his left paw just hovering above the hard pavement of the road. "And why is there no need?" There was bitterness in his voice, though it was cracked. "The Clan is full of traitors, and it's not like anybody cares about me anyway. W-Why should I not die and join the ones I love? The ones that use to love me?" He felt uneasy, staring at the hard, stinky gray path.

"Because the family you have left would miss you dearly," she spoke softly, thinking of all of the cats that considered Silver their borther or sister. "We're already practically endangered, Silver," Shadow's tail flickered, deciding if she should say this next part. To heck with it, she thought. "I care about you, Silver," she spoke softly, "I've lost my family, i know what it's like," she replied uncomfortably, not wanting to go into detail of her past. "I know how you feel, but please." she murmered. "Don't do this to yourself, f not for me, then for your loved ones."

"I have no family inside the Clan. No one considers me as one, and why should they? Hateful, hostile, traitors!" Silver was literally trembling by now. "I have no loved ones. No cat in the Clan even acknowledges me anymore unless I accuse them of treachery, then they fight with me to cover up their lies and claim they are innocent when they are not!" His breathing became deep, and rapid, as if he was about to break down and cry. "And why would you even care?" he trembled. "Why would- why would anyone care? You all are traitors! Deserve-to-be-Rogues and deserve to be dead! I can't trust anybody -let alone you!" He turned around, both of his eyes glistening with tears. "Why would you care?"

"I understand, Silver, I understand," the black she-cat repeated. "I know what it's like," she spoke again. She padded up to the trembling cat, carefully resting her long tail around the tom. "I consider you as a part of my family, Silver. The whole of Bloodclan is my family, traitor or not." Shadow's icy silver eyes were the softest they'd ever been, brow creased with worry as she looked at the tom. "I care, because I know."

"Your family is full of traitors then! Every one of you are traitors!" His voice began to crack and he dipped his head. "I am out numbered in a Clan full of murderers! I want to be with both my real and foster mother! I want to be with those who are not traitors and rogues. At least I know the AfterLife won't hurt me! I know that they are innocent, and won't take the lives of others and harm me!" Since Shadow was sitting in his blind side, he could not see her, and it made him nervous. "Prove to me that you are not a traitor, prove to me that you can have my trust. Let me see you worthy. If not, then I will go to the ones that do love me and I loved. They are the reason I shall take my life, for I am no good to this Clan, now am I? What can I do in a Clan full of not-so-innocent cats?!"

Shadow sighed softly, dragging her tail away from his back and over to the side of his face that she wasn't on. Her tail gently tried to push his face towards her, so that she could look him in the eye. "Silver," she spoke softly, "Please." One of her paws inched foreward, resting softly on his own. Her claws were sheathed, but still stuck out at the end, for they were uncommonly long. Shadow's silvery eyes were sincere, and bare, emotions laid out like a book as she waited for him to turn and look at her.

Silver looked at her in the eye. Both of his eyes had tears flooding through them, and one finally spilled. It was rare for him to cry, so why was he crying now? He hesitated, feeling weird doing so, but finally rested his head on her shoulder. "T-Traitor o-or not... I-I need your shoulder to cry on."

The black she-cat was shocked for a few seconds, but nevertheless, let him rest his head on her shoulder. She tentatively curled her tail around him slowly, as a sign of comfort. "It's alright," she whispered almost inaudibly, letting the tom cry.

"I won't be surprised if you took this chance to end me." he muttered, but he didn't move. This she-cat couldn't understand. She was a traitor too. Everyone was, to him. More tears dampened his and her pelts. "I miss them. I'm trying to protect my Clan, but I am outnumbered by all of you. I can't handle this anymore, Shadow." Silver mewed softly.

"I would never. For being a mangy cat who kills for fun, I have much respect for my clan. They're my family, which means you are too," she replied softly, tail stroking the tom's back. "It'll get better, I promise it will. I know you miss them, but they'll always be with you, really." The black cat's voice was calm, soothingly gentle, so as to not frighten the tom off.

"But we are outnumbered!" he yowled. "Everywhere we go, death is there, death is waiting, death is waiting in a form of a cat!" Silver shivered. He pulled away from Shadow to show her the scar that he gained from one of the traitors in the Clan. He stuck out of his hind legs out, showing her, "This scar could've been much more!" he said. "It could've been death, and it could've been another cat that was fighting that traitor, and that cat could've died." He placed his leg back down. "I can't let that happen. I have to protect the Clan, but for all I know, every single one of you could've been that traitor that scarred me. You could even be one. How should I know? Traitors can cover up their acts, hide themselves. Thank the Afterlife that Night was able to see that there are traitors about!"

"Death is always waiting, though. No matter if it's a cat, or even old age." she replied in a cool voice. The black she-cat curled her tail around her paws. "Then again, aren't even you a traitor? They come in all shapes and sizes. Each has a different reason for being a traitor, as well. It may very well be the threat of relationships instead of death. We won't know unless it happens. How are we supposed to sniff out a traitor that commits minuscule crimes? How are we supposed to find them if they hide in plain sight?" she argued quietly. "Besides, the Afterlife are vague. The 'traitors' could be ones that don't even realize that they could end up being it. We won't know until it happens, will we?" The she-cat stood after a moment "There will always be traitors, we just choose not to realize it until it matters to us. We are all traitors," the she-cat's silver eyes glowed in the moonlight, giving the already eerie setting an even eerier feel.

Silver backed away from Shadow, his lip curled. "How dare you even suggest that I am a traitor?" he hissed. He unsheathed his claws again, his fur bristling. "I am glad that you see my point of everyone being a traitor, but I am no traitor to my Clan!" He lashed his tail, narrowing his eyes.

Shadow just gave him a look, as if to say she was not amused. "None of us are innocent, here. I'm not saying that you are a traitor to the clan, but of your own kind." she hissed softly, standing and shaking out her fur, as if ready to leave in a moment.
